Head of Marketing
Brighton, East Sussex (Hybrid – Minimum 3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + Excellent Benefits
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Head of Marketing – The Role
• Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the ongoing development and positioning of a portfolio of consumer brands.
• Manage, mentor and develop a high-performing marketing team.
• Deliver integrated ATL and digital marketing campaigns from concept through to execution.
• Oversee media planning, creative development and campaign performance.
• Manage external agencies and marketing partners to ensure high-quality delivery and value.
• Own and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective spend and measurable ROI.
• Lead website strategy and optimisation across multiple ecommerce platforms.
• Support new product launches with effective go-to-market strategies.
• Drive innovation through the implementation of AI marketing tools and emerging technologies.
• Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to provide clear insight into marketing performance.
• Champion testing, optimisation and continuous improvement through analytics and A/B testing.
• Monitor market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
Head of Marketing – About You
• Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years’ marketing experience , including senior leadership responsibility.
• Strong experience across both brand marketing and digital/performance marketing.
• Background within retail, ecommerce or multi-channel environments.
• Experience developing marketing strategies and long-term brand plans.
• Commercial experience managing significant marketing budgets and measuring ROI.
• Strong people management skills with experience building and developing successful teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Advanced analytical skills including GA4, reporting and campaign performance analysis.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Desirable Experience
• Shopify, Magento, Umbraco or WordPress.
• Klaviyo and Monday.com.
• AI marketing platforms and automation tools.
• B2B marketing experience.
• Market research and customer insight.
• Retail, home, lifestyle or consumer brands.
