Overview A growing European battery energy storage (BESS) operator is recruiting a Head of IT Infrastructure to oversee its cloud, network, and platform operations. Based in Saint-Denis, the role will lead modernisation efforts, drive cloud migration, and ensure operational resilience across grid-connected storage assets and trading platforms. Key Responsibilities Lead the company's IT infrastructure strategy, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid architectures supporting SCADA and EMS platforms. Oversee migration of legacy systems to AWS, Azure, or GCP. Manage day-to-day operations: networking, storage, virtualisation, and OT/IT security. Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with engineering and asset management teams. Ensure compliance with NIS2, DORA where applicable, and grid-code cybersecurity requirements. Manage vendor relationships and infrastructure budgets. Lead an infrastructure and operations team of approximately 12 staff. Requirements Essential Qualifications 12+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles. Strong cloud expertise (AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications preferred). Experience in regulated industries, ideally energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure. Familiarity with OT/SCADA environments. Fluent in French and English. Desired Qualifications Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern observability tooling. Knowledge of NIS2 and IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards. Benefits Salary €115,000 – €135,000 gross per annum. Bonus and standard benefits apply.
