Head of Global Business Segment Railway (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:
• Set up and further develop the commercial strategy for the Global Business Segment Railway
• Coordinate and support a global matrix team of Business Development Managers across FUCHS subsidiaries worldwide
• Define segment-specific value propositions for passenger, cargo and infrastructure applications
• Plan and prioritize product and service roadmaps together with Product Management, based on customer and market input
• Gather market intelligence and propose global price positioning based on market knowledge and pricing insights
• Develop and take responsibility for (global) key account customers
• Conduct on-site customers visits together with local sales engineers and provide technical and commercial support
• Strengthen collaboration with local affiliates and proactively drive information exchange while fostering cross-functional communication
• Plan and initiate marketing activities together with Marketing and represent FUCHS at trade fairs and within associations
Qualifications we are looking for:
• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar
• Strong commercial mindset with proven experience in sales or business development, experience in rail/transportation industry or related sectors (automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, or supplier industry)
• Knowledge of tribology & lubricants is an advantage
• Experience working with OEMs is beneficial
• Solid technical understanding, ideally gained in complex, application-driven environments
• Ability to bridge detailed technical expertise with high-level strategic thinking
• Entrepreneurial mindset combined with hands-on mentality
• Experience in (in)direct leadership and working in international matrix organizations is desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions, cultures, and hierarchical levels
• Passion for shaping and developing business environments and driving change
• Fluent in English (business level) and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30%)
