SOME OF THE INTERESTING CHALLENGES AHEAD OF YOU Financial Management & Operations Overall responsibility for all in-country financial matters, including payments, receipts, cash management, and oversight of outsourced accounting and finance service providers. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records, reporting, and statutory compliance. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Manage local banking relationships and support cash flow planning and forecasting. Financial Reporting & Planning Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements. Lead local budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Identify, assess, and communicate risks and opportunities against approved budgets and forecasts. Provide financial analysis and business insight to support strategic and operational decision-making. Business Partnering & Commercial Support Act as a trusted finance business partner to the Country Director and local leadership team. Support the Investment, Development, Asset Management and Property Management teams with financial analysis, business cases, investment appraisals, and commercial decision-making. Provide financial support for leasing activities, customer and supplier deposits, guarantees, and other commercial arrangements. Review and approve development appraisals submitted to the Corporate Development team. financial oversight of major procurement activities and supplier contracts review of significant commercial contracts/LA’s from a financial risk and value perspective Tax, Corporate Transactions & Compliance Coordinate local tax compliance activities, including VAT returns, corporate income tax provisions, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
