CYBRET AI is building Autonomous Security Infrastructure for modern organizations operating in complex, distributed, cloud-native environments.

Our primary focus is Exposure and Vulnerability Management as a decision system, not a reporting layer.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a foundational leadership role with full ownership of engineering at CYBRET AI.
As Head of Engineering, you will define how the platform is built, scaled, and operated. You will set technical direction, make architectural decisions, and build a high-performing engineering organization without sacrificing quality, depth, or rigor.
You will work closely with the founder, product, security, and AI teams to ensure that CYBRET AI’s systems are robust, scalable, secure, and built for long-term autonomy.
This role is hands-on. You are expected to design systems, review code, and lead by example.
RESPONSIBILITIES
TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP & ARCHITECTURE
Own the overall technical architecture of the CYBRET AI platform
Make and communicate clear architectural decisions across backend, AI systems, data, and infrastructure
Ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, secure, and observable
Set engineering standards for quality, testing, and production readiness
ENGINEERING EXECUTION
Lead the implementation of core platform components
Ensure fast, disciplined shipping without compromising correctness or security
Balance speed and long-term maintainability in a high-growth environment
TEAM BUILDING & CULTURE
Hire, mentor, and scale a high-caliber engineering team
Build a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and accountability
Set expectations for seniority, performance, and collaboration
Structure teams and roles as the company grows
COLLABORATION & STRATEGY
Partner closely with product, AI, and security leadership
Translate product and research goals into executable technical plans
Provide clear input on feasibility, trade-offs, and timelines
Act as a technical counterweight in strategic decisions
RELIABILITY, SECURITY & OPERATIONS
Ensure strong practices around deployment, monitoring, and incident response
Oversee cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and operational maturity
Embed security-first thinking across all engineering decisions
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Strong experience leading engineering teams in complex, production systems
Deep hands-on background as a senior software or platform engineer
Proven ability to design and scale distributed systems
Strong judgment and ability to make hard technical decisions
Experience operating in early-stage or high-growth environments
Experience in cybersecurity, cloud platforms, or AI-driven systems is a strong plus, but not required.
