Description
*This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours. For the Bankrate website click here . Curious how Bankrate fits into Red Ventures? Click here. We're looking for a Head of Brand & Communications to own how Bankrate shows up in the market and to make the growth engine measurably more performant. This is an offensive mandate, not a stewardship one: build the brand equity, positioning, and earned presence that lower blended CAC, lift conversion, and turn into efficient revenue. You own brand, communications, integrated marketing, and organic social. You report to the CMO and partner closely with organic growth, paid growth, and product. What You’ll Do: Brand & positioning. Own Bankrate's brand and positioning with a demand purpose: build the salience and trust that reduce acquisition cost across paid, organic, and direct, and that make the rate marketplace the obvious choice. You're accountable for brand's contribution to efficient revenue, not brand health in isolation. Communications. Own corporate communications and PR/earned media strategy — reputation, media coverage, and third-party authority. This is also a direct input to Bankrate's visibility in AI answers — partner with Organic Growth on the citation loop, since earned authority feeds whether Bankrate gets cited by LLMs. Integrated marketing. Own the campaign architecture and go-to-market orchestration that turn brand and positioning into coordinated, multi-channel campaigns — so paid, organic, social, and communications execute against one story and one calendar rather than competing narratives. Accountable for campaign contribution to the growth engine, not activity. Organic social. Own organic social as both a brand instrument and a demand instrument. It builds equity and is held to efficient revenue: measured on brand lift and its contribution to blended CAC, not reach or followers. Until brand-driven CAC measurement is trustworthy, it runs against a defined brand-lift proxy with a written trigger to convert to hard CAC accountability the moment that measurement goes live. Existing organic social headcount rolls into this role. Measurement. Hold the full function to efficiency rather than vanity. Brand and social are graded on lift and contribution to blended CAC and efficient revenue — reported alongside, and on the same footing as, the rest of marketing's investment framework. Team. Build and develop a high-performing team across brand, communications, integrated marketing, and organic social. What We’re Looking For: Senior brand & comms leadership — 10+ years, with experience leading brand, communications, and integrated marketing as one function, not a single discipline. Demand-minded — you think in CAC, conversion, and efficient revenue, and you've defended brand investment in those terms to a CEO or board. Offensive builder — energized by using brand to move a growth number, not by managing a mature identity. You bring structure to an undefined mandate. Owned + earned fluency — real command of organic social and earned media as engines of authority and demand, not just awareness. Executive presence — you set positioning and narrative clearly for the CMO and senior leadership, and represent the brand externally with credibility. Compensation: Total Cash Compensation Range: $230,000 – $350,000 per year + equity Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications. Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements. Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision) Life Insurance Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts Holiday Pay 401(k) with match Employee Assistance Progra
