We are l ooking for a Head of BI & Data Engineering to lead our data strategy, infrastructure, and analytics team. This role will design the organizational data roadmap, ensuring that our data architecture is scalable, our metrics are consistent, and our insights actively drive high-level executive decision-making At ODILO, we work to transform the way the world learns. Our mission is to empower continuous learning for individuals and organizations through a flexible and secure digital platform that integrates content from multiple sources and adapts to each context . 🚀 What you will do at ODILO: Lead , mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, high performance, and technical excellence. Executive Decision Support : Translate complex data structures into high-impact executive reports and insights to influence strategic business decisions and area-level roadmaps. Data Governance & Metric Consistency : Establish and oversee data governance frameworks to guarantee absolute consistency, integrity, and alignment of key business metrics across the entire organization. Data pipelines, Architecture & Efficiency Frameworks: Define, optimize, and enforce scalable frameworks for data efficiency, storage, and infrastructure-as-code across our data pipelines. Advanced Data Engineering Supervision: Oversee the design, orchestration, and documentation of advanced ETL/ELT pipelines and data models within AWS and Google Cloud environments. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Business, Product, and Engineering leaders to align data infrastructure with product features, platform KPIs, and strategic business goals. Requirements :  Solid experience (6+ years) in Data Analytics and Data Engineering, with at least 2-3 years leading and managing data teams in fast-paced or SaaS environments. Strategic & Analytical Vision: Strong ability to connect data initiatives with business outcomes, building analytical frameworks that drive organizational efficiency. Technical Background: Deep understanding of data architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and pipeline optimization. Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python . Hand-on work will be required. Cloud & ETL Expertise: Solid experience overseeing ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing in cloud environments, specifically AWS and/or Google Cloud. Advanced skills in data storytelling and communicating technical concepts, data insights, and findings clearly to C-level executives and non-technical stakeholders. Fluent in English (oral and written). Based in Madrid or nearby, as the position follows a semi-remote model with regular in-office collaboration. Nice to have: Experience setting and scaling data and engineering standards from scratch within an EdTech or B2B SaaS company. Familiarity with modern data stacks, and advanced data security compliance. Proactive mindset for process automation and continuous optimization of cloud costs. Fluent in Portuguese will be a plus Why ODILO?
