Description
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋 Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place! We are looking for a Hardware Product Manager to own and evolve the hospitality or retail hardware portfolio and end-to-end merchant experience (choose, buy, receive, set up, operate, replace), ensuring the right form factors exist, work reliably, and ship profitably across regions. What you’ll be responsible for - Own the hospitality or retail hardware portfolio end-to-end—what we sell, where we sell it, and how it evolves over time (launch → scale → lifecycle management → deprecation). - Define and land a multi-quarter roadmap aligned to the broader Hardware strategy, manage dependencies, and drive delivery to measurable outcomes. - Lead new initiatives through the full lifecycle: discovery → PRDs/requirements → vendor selection → validation/testing → launch → iteration and in-field support. - Spend time with merchants (owners/managers/staff) to uncover workflow friction and translate insights into roadmap priorities. - Drive supplier accountability across feature set, quality, cost, and lead times, using field signals (RMAs/tickets) to close the loop on corrective actions. - Lead by influence teams across Product, Design, Hardware Ops, Support, GTM, Finance, and Legal to execute launches cleanly and improve portfolio profitability. What you’ll be bringing to the team - 5+ years as a Product Manager in a hardware or hardware-enabled SaaS environment (devices/peripherals/accessories), with at least 1–2 launches shipped end-to-end - Demonstrated ownership of the full hardware lifecycle: Discovery → Requirements → Selection → Testing→ Launch → Iteration → Deprecation - Direct experience Hospitality workflows: Payments, POS, Mobile POS, Kitchen Display Systems, Kiosk, Networking - Cross-functional leadership across Product, Design, Ops/Supply Chain, Support, GTM Who you are - Extreme ownership: the ability to work autonomously, takes initiative and assumes responsibility when “grey” areas are present - Product sense: the ability to use merchant empathy and engagement, gains insights that converts into an impactful product spec - Data-driven decision making (unit economics, cohort analysis)  - Excellent communicator, ensures all stakeholders remain updated without prompting - Bias for measurable outcomes - Practical understanding of hardware constraints (manufacturing, reliability, packaging, compliance) - Strength to challenge the status quo What’s in it for you? Come live the Lightspeed experience... - Lots of autonomy, flexible work culture and the option of fully remote work - Genuine career opportunities in a company that’s creating new jobs every day - Opportunity to make a difference; help merchants grow their businesses and become more successful by creating or improving products and addressing customer feedback - Work in a team big enough for growth but lean enough to make a real impact - Development of very high traffic products, used at the global scale - Opportunities to learn and expand your skill set - Become a valued part of the diverse and inclusive Lightspeed family … and enjoy a range of benefits that’ll keep you happy, healthy and (not) hungry: - Lightspeed equity scheme (we are all owners) - Flexible paid time off policy - Extended Healthcare benefits - Health and wellness benefit of $500 per year - Paid leave and assistance for new parents - Mental health online platform and counseling & coaching services - Volunteer day #LI-JR2 At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skill set, qualifications, experience, and market data. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the total compensation for this position to be in the range of 135-
