Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Income Auditor to join our Finance team and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our daily revenue reporting.
Position Summary
The Income Auditor is responsible for verifying, reconciling, and auditing all hotel revenue transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to internal controls. The role works closely with operational departments to ensure all revenues are properly recorded and accounted for.
Key Responsibilities
• Audit daily revenue generated by all hotel outlets, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Retail, and other revenue centers.
• Reconcile daily sales reports with the Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, and payment records.
• Verify cash, credit card, city ledger, and other payment transactions.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, shortages, overages, and posting errors.
• Prepare and distribute daily revenue and management reports.
• Review complimentary rooms, house use, discounts, rebates, refunds, and void transactions for compliance with company policies.
• Ensure revenue is recorded accurately in accordance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
• Maintain accurate audit documentation and supporting records.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing the required documentation and reports.
• Monitor compliance with financial controls and recommend process improvements where necessary.
• Work closely with operational departments to ensure correct revenue capture and reporting.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Financial Controller.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an Income Auditor, Night Auditor, Accounts, or Finance role, preferably within hospitality.
• Good understanding of hotel revenue cycles and accounting principles.
• Experience working with hotel PMS and POS systems is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
