Description
The Role
At Whistler Platinum, the guest experience doesn't start at check-in; it starts the moment someone reaches out. As our Guest Services Coordinator, you'll own both ends of that journey: converting inquiries into bookings and turning arrivals into memories.
This is a agile role that moves fluidly between pre-arrival coordination and in-resort guest support. If you're equally comfortable closing a booking and calming a frustrated guest, this role was built for you.
About the Role, Benefits & Perks
• Full-time, year-round
• $24–$27 per hour or salary equivalent, based on experience
• Shifts schedule is typically between 8:30am–7pm, including some weekends
• Extended Health benefits after 12 months (negotiable)
• Annual lifestyle spending account for WB pass or other recreational expenses
• Fun and supportive work atmosphere, staff socials, and outings
• Flexible schedule to enjoy the Whistler lifestyle
• Discounts to experience Whistler activities
What You'll Do
• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests across phone, email, and messaging platforms - from first inquiry through check-out
• Respond to reservation inquiries and guide guests to the right property through tailored, consultative recommendations
• Confirm bookings, process payments, and manage changes or cancellations
• Coordinate pre-arrival planning, offering genuine, informed recommendations for dining, activities, and local experiences
• Arrange concierge services including activity bookings, transportation, and specialty requests - equipment rentals, lift tickets, private chefs, spa treatments, and more
• Respond promptly to in-resort guest requests, feedback, and service issues and follow through until resolved
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Property Services to action guest needs
• Maintain accurate guest profiles, communication logs, and records in the property management system
• Represent Whistler Platinum as a luxury brand ambassador in every interaction
What We're Looking For
• Prior experience in hospitality, guest services, or reservations (preferred)
• At least one year of local Whistler knowledge - guests will lean on you for it
• Excellent communicator who's equally sharp in writing and in person
• Sales-minded and comfortable with consultative upselling
• Tech-savvy with experience in reservation or property management systems
• Calm and solutions-focused when the pressure is on
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail across multiple moving parts
• Adaptable and genuinely excited to work across two different functions
What Success Looks Like
Guests feel looked after from first inquiry to check-out. Your bookings are accurate, your communication is proactive, and the teams around you always know what's coming. You treat every guest like they're the only one -even when you're juggling ten.
