From Reception through to Year 6, you'll have the freedom to choose the days that suit you, whether you're looking for one day a week or a full-time schedule. At Thrive Education, we believe supply teaching should fit around your life—not the other way around. We're looking for passionate Primary Supply Teachers to join our growing team, working in fantastic primary schools across Stroud and the surrounding villages. From Reception through to Year 6, you'll have the freedom to choose the days that suit you, whether you're looking for one day a week or a full-time schedule. Deliver lessons by following the lesson plans and instructions left by the regular teacher. • Manage classroom behaviour using the school's behaviour policy to create a positive learning environment. • Support student learning by explaining tasks, answering questions, and encouraging participation. • Take attendance and report any absences or concerns according to school procedures. • Ensure safeguarding and student welfare by supervising pupils and following safeguarding policies, reporting any concerns immediately. • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners, including pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) where appropriate. • Assess and monitor progress during the lesson, providing feedback to students and leaving notes for the regular teacher about work completed and any issues. • Maintain a safe classroom by following health and safety procedures and ensuring equipment is used correctly. • Promote a positive learning environment by encouraging respect, inclusion, and engagement. • Carry out school duties as required, such as playground supervision or break-time duties, depending on the assignment. • Communicate professionally with school staff, teaching assistants, and senior leaders throughout the day. • Represent the school professionally by maintaining confidentiality, punctuality, and appropriate conduct.
