ABOUT HALTER At Halter, we’re on a mission to enable farmers and graziers to run the most productive and sustainable operations. Our customers are using Halter to break free from the time-intensive constraints of conventional practices. Imagine watching 500 cattle stand up and walk calmly towards their next break? No quad bikes, no dogs, no fences. Just a group of cattle walking at their own pace. People say it looks like magic. Our customers are revolutionizing grazing with Halter. It's changing lives and transforming an industry. People join Halter to do meaningful work. By joining us you’ll be solving challenging problems within a talented team and a culture built for high performance. Our team out-think, out-work and out-care. We’re committed to delivering real change in the world - this isn’t easy, and in truth, we love that it’s hard. ABOUT THE ROLE Every dollar the team spends on paid and organic ends up in one place: the website. This role builds the thing that converts it. You own Halter's website - as an engineer. In the short term that means owning and building in Webflow: shipping landing pages, components, and experiments fast. But the bigger prize is the migration. You'll scope and lead Halter's move off Webflow to a custom, headless-CMS-backed site, then own it as a codebase - fast, flexible, and built to scale across New Zealand, Australia, and the US. You own the conversion rate that turns visits into leads. The channel owners drive traffic; you own what happens when it lands - page experience, lead forms, load speed, and the technical and on-page SEO that keeps the site fast, crawlable, and ranking. And you're the build partner for ABM: when the Search, SEO & ABM owner needs a personalised landing experience for a target account, you build it to brief. This is the highest-leverage lever on the team: a better-converting, faster-shipping site multiplies the output of every other channel. You report to the Performance Marketing Lead and own the conversion rate and lead-quality numbers. You'll do it with AI as a core tool. Page builds, component generation, copy, and test analysis - we expect you to use AI to ship faster and sharpen every output. You know what an MCP server is, and you've automated real work with tools like n8n. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We don't care where you've come from - front-end engineering, growth engineering, web dev, or a designer-developer who ships production code. What matters is that you build fast, and that you've moved a conversion rate and can prove it. You're a front-end engineer. You're fluent in modern front-end - React/Next.js, TypeScript, HTML/CSS - and component-driven build, and you've worked with a headless CMS. You can own a website as a codebase, not just a page builder. You can run a migration. You've moved a site - or a meaningful chunk of one - from a hosted platform to a custom build, and you know how to do it without tanking SEO, performance, or the pipeline on the way. You're an experimenter. You form a hypothesis, run a clean test, read the result
