Description
Position : Group Finance Operations Lead  Salary : Php 90,000 - Php 115,000 per month Working Hours & Conditions : Australian Hours OVERVIEW: We’re hiring a senior finance-operations operator to run the financial rhythm and key operating controls across a small portfolio of related Australian entities. This is a hands-on role spanning bookkeeping, month- end close, AP/AR, payroll coordination, weekly cash flow, inventory planning, and operational process discipline. You’ll work directly with the owner and the external Australian accountant — using Xero, ApprovalMax, and Unleashed — to bring clean books, clear cash visibility, and better inventory control to the group. This is a value-creation role, not a recordkeeping seat — measured by cash protected, costs cut, deals found, tax deferred, insights pushed, and books kept beautiful. Not by hours logged. Who you’ll work with. You’ll be partnering with an experienced founder whose background spans public companies, private companies, and earlier-stage startups, alongside a small team of expert Australian accountants and tax advisors. The rigour, standards, and context you’ll inherit reflect that — and we expect that experience to flow both ways. Scope and shape. This is a 0.8 FTE / 4 days-per-week role, structured around a clear weekly rhythm rather than an open-ended task pool. The role has been scoped around finance and operations — executive- assistant work is handled separately and is not part of this seat. RESPONSIBILITIES: You’ll be responsible for the financial operations, reporting rhythm, cash visibility, and key operational controls across: • Family investment trust • Australian operating company • Australian health & wellness business with physical product / inventory (Unleashed ERP) • Personal family budget — household cash flow, recurring payments, and simple reporting, handled with discretion and clear boundaries (currently in Lunch Money; open to alternatives) These entities share a common stack (Xero, ApprovalMax, and — for the inventory business — Unleashed), but each has its own rhythm. Your job is to run the close, the cash, the controls, and the value-creation moves cleanly across the three entities plus the family budget. Requirements 5–8 years finance + ops experience for SMEs / owner-operated businesses Deep, current Xero across multi-entity setups (including a trust) Strong Australian tax context — BAS, GST, super, STP, FBT — adds value to expense categorisation, not just records what's given Demonstrated cashflow operator — managed weekly cashflow with granular detail; can point to tangible improvements (DSO, late fees, working capital) Google Sheets fluency — can extend an existing model, not just build from scratch Inventory exposure — reorder points, EOQ, S&OP rhythm Analytical and proactive — pushes insights without being asked What success looks like Twelve months in, we expect to look back and see: • Bulletproof cashflow — same-day invoicing, AR chased relentlessly, supplier terms stretched to our advantage, late fees driven toward zero. • Granular weekly cashflow the owner trusts implicitly — line-of-sight on cash, runway, and lumpy outflows; working capital loans actively managed. • Material cost savings every quarter — through zero-based budgeting, subscription/SaaS audits, and ruthless waste-cutting (principled, not penny-pinching). • Customer- and SKU-level sales visibility — actual vs. budget tracked at the unit level, with proactive insights pushed to the owner and the sales/marketing team without being asked.
