Competitive salary: £120,000–£150,000, plus house, vehicle, , and relocation support package
FD Capital are pleased to be partnering with our client, who operate primarily within the maritime sector, to recruit their new Group Finance and Commercial Director .
Based in the Falkland Islands, this senior leadership role will report directly to the company’s Managing Director, and offers an exciting opportunity to benefit from a unique quality of life whilst embarking on a fulfilling and varied career journey - a chance to be at the heart of a large, successful and thriving family-owned company which is competing and operating in a complex and dynamic business environment. The new Group Finance and Commercial Director will join at a time of continued growth, following a significant UK acquisition, and as the business actively seeks wider international business opportunities in the fishing and maritime sectors.
The role is ideal for a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or Senior Financial Controller with experience in group structures, someone that will bring technical expertise with commercial sense, and experience in M&A and/or company restructuring. Role requirements:
· Qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
· 10 years post qualified experience, to include having managed a small team and having reported to the board
· Commercial acumen with proven success in driving financial health and growth
· Ability to represent the company credibly at leadership levels
· Proven leadership in driving and developing finance teams
· Ability to build strong, trusted relationships with MD, senior leaders, and international partners
· Expertise in guiding leadership on commercial contract negotiations
· Collaborate with MD and senior management to align financial and commercial strategy with company objectives
· Fishing and maritime sector experience is a plus

1. The Falkland Islands benefit form a higher income tax rate of just 26%
2. The advertised salary range is a guideline, and the final offer will be commensurate with experience
