About us We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people. In 2024 we launched our five-year Corporate Strategy, which runs to 2029. Our purpose is to provide high quality homes, services, and support to our customers, so we’ve worked with colleagues and customers to find out what’s important to them. Our customers sit at the heart of what we do, and our colleagues are the people who’ll help us achieve our vision, which is to create the best customer experience to improve everyday lives. Duties include: Carry out minor groundworks in domestic garden settings, including paths, paving, and access routes, external steps and level transitions, concrete, edging, and foundations for small works. Construct, repair, and maintain low walls and small retaining walls, raised beds and level changes, garden structures affecting access and safety. Ensure finished works are structurally sound, safe for resident use and suitable for long term durability. Construct and repair boundaries in collaboration with the Landscape Operative, including foundations for fencing and boundary structures and retaining features that define or support boundaries. Maintain clear and courteous communication where customers are present. Load, unload, and handle materials safely. Identify and address any HHSRS category 1 and 2 hazards, particularly risk of trips and falls on uneven ground, falls from height due to level changes or unsupported edges and any unsafe steps, paths, or retaining walls. Participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks as required.
