Description
As a member of our Snowsports Team you will be a passionate instructor, with a commitment to providing a fun and memorable ski and snowboard experience. We are proud to be the official international snowsports school of Grand Hirafu - one of the world's premier ski destinations - and are looking for enthusiastic instructors who embody our values and represent both GoSnow and the resort with excellence. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging, fun, and safe ski or snowboard lessons to a wide range of guests • Use appropriate terrain to build confidence, develop skills, and inspire a love of snow sports • Provide clear guidance, constructive feedback, and tailored instruction to support each guest’s progress • Maintain the highest level of guest service and strive to exceed expectations at every opportunity • Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold GoSnow’s professional standards Requirements • Valid Japanese working visa, or eligibility for visa sponsorship • Minimum Level 1 APSI or equivalent recognised snowsports certification • At least one full-time season of prior teaching experience • Must have your own snowsports equipment • You must be physically fit and injury free • A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to personal and professional development Employment Details • Contract Start Date:   December 2nd 2026 • Contract Completion:   Either March 31st 2027 or April 11th 2027 Compensation & Bonuses • Competitive Hourly Base Rate Based on certification level and teaching experience. For example, an instructor with APSI/NZSIA Level 2 certification earns a base rate of ¥3,700 per hour.  Your pay rate will be discussed at interview • Specialty Bonuses Additional pay is available for instructors with multi-discipline certifications and Mandarin or Cantonese language proficiency • High Period Incentive Earn a ¥2,000/hour bonus for working on scheduled days off during designated high-demand periods • Monthly Performance Bonus Instructors who rank in the top 10% each month are awarded a ¥20,000 bonus for exceptional performance • Travel Support Bonus ¥50,000 travel support bonus paid out upon completion of the contract Perks & Benefits • Lift Pass:   All Mountain season lift pass included • Training & Development: • In-house certification and development training available 5 evenings a week (outside peak season) • Consistent Hours: • High sales demand throughout the season thanks to our on-site sales desks, priority lift lanes, and dedicated learning areas • 2025/26 season instructors averaged over 450 hours • Staff Housing & Shuttle: • Subsidised accommodation: from ¥10,000/month (quad share) and ¥25,000/month (twin/double share), including utilities, WiFi, and basic supplies • Premium-rate single rooms available • Free staff shuttle between Hirafu Village and Kutchan Town • Staff Discounts: • Reduced rates at HTM’s hotels (Niseko Central, Ki Niseko, Skye Niseko) and services, including Kumo Restaurant, An Dining, YamaSport rentals, and Ryko & Ki Spa
