About the job You lead and develop the global mid-term planning process, ensuring one aligned and trusted demand and supply plan across regions and product groups. By bringing together stakeholders from Sales, Finance, Product Management, Procurement, and Operations, you create clarity, support decision-making, and strengthen planning performance across the organization. You report to the Head of Global Planning. Job responsibilities: Lead the global planning process covering governance, planning cadence, decision-making frameworks, and data quality. Drive one aligned, data-driven demand and supply plan used across the business. Lead, coach, and develop a global team of planners and analysts. Balance service, inventory, and cost considerations through fact-based decision support. Define and monitor key planning performance indicators, including forecast accuracy and inventory performance. Play a key role in the Advanced Planning System transformation, including requirements, process design, master data discipline, and adoption. Location and flexibility The team is based in Fagersta, Sweden, and Pune, India, and we prefer one of these locations as your home base. We work in a hybrid setup and the position includes regular travel between the two sites, as well as occasional visits to regional organizations, typically 3-4 trips per year. Your profile You’ve built extensive experience within demand planning, supply planning, or S&OP in a global manufacturing environment and have successfully led people with direct reports. Comfortable working with data, technology, and cross-functional stakeholders, you're motivated by creating structure, driving improvements, and delivering results through collaboration. Your background also includes: Experience owning and developing mid-term planning processes in a global or multi-region organization. Leadership experience, preferably with distributed or multi-site teams. Hands-on experience with Advanced Planning Systems and planning transformations or implementations. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, BI tools, and data-driven decision-making. Professional fluency in English. Success in this position comes from combining analytical thinking with strong leadership and collaboration skills. You’re comfortable challenging assumptions when data points in a different direction, while building trust across cultures, teams, and time zones.
