A respected Boys' School in Westminster is seeking a passionate and dynamic Geography Teacher to join our successful Humanities department. We aim to inspire a curiosity about the world and develop students' understanding of geographical processes and issues. About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a challenging and supportive environment dedicated to the education and development of boys. The Geography department is well-resourced with digital mapping tools, fieldwork equipment, and a commitment to experiential learning. About the Role: Deliver engaging and interactive Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering both physical and human geography, as well as environmental issues. Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate fieldwork, map skills, data analysis, and discussion of contemporary geographical challenges. Assess student progress through fieldwork reports, presentations, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to enhance their geographical understanding. Organize and lead fieldwork opportunities to diverse locations. Contribute to the development of the geography curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Geography. A strong understanding of the secondary geography curriculum and effective teaching methodologies, including fieldwork. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate male students in geography. Proficiency in using geographical software and resources.
