Seeking an experienced GP to provide whānau-centred, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to a defined population in Thames and/or Paeroa We need someone who is highly engaged and passionate about working with our whānau in a kaupapa Māori environment. The successful candidate will need to be committed to achieving health equity and driving quality improvement to ensure better health outcomes for our communities. About Us: Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki is a not-for-profit kaupapa Māori health organisation, based out of Thames. Successfully delivering medical, wellness and community services in Hauraki since 1994, we aim to be a leading indigenous health provider by providing high-quality services throughout the communities we represent. We have 4 Whānau Health Centres located in the historic and picturesque townships of Thames, Coromandel, Whitianga, and Paeroa, delivering general practice services to an enrolled population of 11,000. What we offer: Flexible hours: 0.6 to 1.0 FTE. Support from a multidisciplinary primary health care team. A negotiable remuneration package for permanent staff: • Competitive salary. • 5-week annual leave entitlement. • Reimbursement (pro rata) of costs associated with MCNZ registration, annual practising. certification, College fees and medical indemnity insurance coverage. • Tangihanga (funeral) insurance coverage. • Relocation allowance. Key competencies include: • Registration as a Medical Practitioner in NZ with current APC. • Vocational registration or practical experience as a General Practitioner. • Excellent communication skills. • Makes clear medical decisions and takes ownership of these, following up on problems to ensure they are resolved. • Works as part of a clinical team, ensuring whānau needs are met. • Experience with Medtech Evolution (Practice Management System) an advantage.
