General Pediatrician with Neonatal Experience Integra Healthcare is expanding our dynamic, patient-centred team, and we are seeking a compassionate, skilled Medical Doctor – General Pediatrician with Neonatal Experience to join our multi-specialty clinic. Our services include Paediatrics, Women’s Health, Family Medicine, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, and Paediatric Physiotherapy. Responsibilities Attend the deliveries of both term and preterm infants, as requested by parents, required by current guidelines or where considered advisable in consultation with obstetric colleagues Provide immediate care as required, including initial assessment of newborns, preterm or otherwise, then managing any admission to NICU (Usually babies older than 30 weeks) at Cayman Islands Hospital Where necessary, engage in the resuscitation, stabilisation and transfer of newborns to NICU at Cayman Islands Hospital Coordinate and supervise activities of therapists, assistants, nurses, dieticians, pharmacists and other support staff; refer patients to a specialist or other physician when warranted See paediatric patients in an out-patient clinical setting. Able to manage and treat paediatric patients of all ages referring where appropriate to other specialist colleagues Discuss test results and explain treatments or medical procedures with patients and family members Advise and educate patients, parents and members of the community in regard to activity, diet, hygiene and other disease prevention methods Education Medical Degree Must have specialist registration as a Paediatrician with at least 5 years working in a level 2 NICU or higher as a consultant. Must be currently practicing or licensed as a Medical Doctor – Pediatrician/Neonatology, and in good standing at an accredited healthcare entity/hospital in any of the eligible medical jurisdictions licensed in the Cayman Islands: Jamaica/Caribbean, USA, United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Fluent in the English language and demonstrate effective oral communication and writing skills in said language. Possess strong work-ethics and excellent interpersonal skills, thereby promoting a culture of collaboration and camaraderie. Willing to contribute time and efforts through membership to the many Medical Staff Committees and activities that facilitates best practice and patient well-being.
