As a GL Accountant, you will apply your expertise in general ledger accounting while taking on broader responsibilities beyond day-to-day tasks. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a key user position, get involved in projects, and contribute ideas to enhance accounting processes across the organization. We are looking for someone with a solid GL background, a strong focus on compliance and controls, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Execute day-to-day accounting activities which may include maintenance of a complete and accurate general Ledger accounting and preparation of financial reporting in line with Service Level Agreement with the business Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing processes Conduct related General Ledger (GL) closing activities ensuring they are completed in time and accordance to the group guidance Manage Fixed Assets ledger Prepare, document, and keep up to date operating procedures for accounting role Perform Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, account clearing and investigate any discrepancies Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions Assist in the Internal and External audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries Ensure all oral and written interaction with all business partners – internal and external is at highest professional standards Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement of General Ledger Requirements Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience Few years of experience in General Accounting in a multinational environment Written and verbal fluency in English (at least B2) Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills Flexible approach with a strong team spirit Change resistant Professional style when dealing with business clients Compliance & controllership mindset Proficient IT skills including Excel and Outlook Knowledge of SAP platform Experience in transition of functions would be an advantage Advantages: At least one additional European language, preferably - German Shared Services Center experience Knowledge of Blackline Tools Benefits Professional team to work with in an international environment and multi-cultural business, exploiting modern working methods and tools.
