Location: United Kingdom (Remote first or hybrid)  Avantia Law is the legal and compliance partner to many of the world’s leading asset managers and private equity firms. We combine extensive sector expertise with proprietary AI-powered workflows to help clients move faster, manage risk, and accelerate their deals. We’re now expanding our funds practice, and we’re looking for a lawyer ready to lead that growth. The Funds Lawyer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end LP fund transfer process. The role requires a detail-driven, executive-focused lawyer who can manage complex multi-party communications without losing momentum.  The opportunity You’ll: Prepare LP transfer documents with minimal supervision   Serve as the primary point of contact for transfer party communications, coordination of KYC management of signing, and post-closing actions  Own the client relationship on day-to-day matters, ensure all transfer process align with client playbooks and SLAs  Handle negotiations based on client playbooks and escalate any issues to the client as needed   In collaboration with MD – LP Transfer, support with day-to-day supervision, training and mentoring junior team members Assist our Growth team with new client pitches when required Requirements Engage with clients directly, providing a full deal review and expert legal advice, ensuring all transfer processes align with client playbooks.  Prepare LP transfer documents, including transfer agreements and subscription documents.  Conduct negotiations based on client playbooks and escalate any issues to the client as needed.  Escalate and resolve any issues or flags during the transfer process.  In collaboration with MD - LP Transfers, support with day to day supervision, training and mentoring junior team members (e.g. Paralegals or more junior lawyers)  Collaborate with our technology team to help us innovate & utilise AI-driven workflow tools in your legal work.  Assist our Growth team with new client pitches when required.   Qualifications:  3+ PQE with experience in closed ended funds and LP transfers.  Qualified in England & Wales or US.   Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.  Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.  Strong communication skills and client-focused approach.  Why Avantia Avantia isn’t trying to replicate traditional law - we’re building something smarter.
