With a clear aspiration to deepen alumni and philanthropic engagement and build enduring, values led relationships, the Alumni & Philanthropy Unit (APU) is reimagining its structure, refreshing the way they work, and rebuilding a number of roles. The Fundraising Manager, Future Giving plays a strategic leadership role in the development and delivery of UTS’s Gifts in Wills program, inspiring long-term philanthropic support through strategic engagement, storytelling, and stewardship. The role is responsible for creating a comprehensive program of engagement to identify and grow relationships with donors considering or committing to leaving a legacy, including managing donor journeys from intention to impact, and embedding legacy giving as a valued, visible and impactful part of the university’s philanthropic culture and income. Reporting to the Director, Fundraising & Donor Stewardship and operating as a key representative of the Alumni & Philanthropy Unit with internal and external partners, the Manager leads complex negotiations to ensure bequests align with donor intent and institutional goals. The role also drives strategic acquisition and stewardship campaigns, working across a range of fundraising channels and with third-party providers. The Fundraising Manager, Future Giving leads the development of compelling and audience-centred content to inspire, recognise and encourage legacy giving, and raise the profile of legacy giving opportunities both within and outside UTS. The role will develop and drive a program of training across the Alumni & Philanthropy team to grow institutional capability in legacy giving.
