Paladin Security is Hiring a Healthcare Security Guard! Location: Edmonton, AB Schedule: Full-Time Pay Rate: CA$17.00 – CA$21.93/hour Employment Type: Full-Time Overview Paladin Security is seeking dedicated and professional Healthcare Security Guards to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. Healthcare Security professionals play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and healthcare staff. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, possess strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, and are committed to protecting vulnerable populations while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Control access to and from healthcare facilities and investigate security irregularities Conduct proactive patrols throughout assigned areas Identify and report security concerns such as unsecured doors, blocked exits, hazardous conditions, and mechanical issues Monitor patient safety and communicate concerns to Protective Services and Nursing staff Monitor surveillance cameras, property activity, and facility events Respond to alarms, emergency calls, and requests for assistance Complete incident investigations and prepare detailed reports Maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with site procedures Assist healthcare staff during emergencies and critical incidents Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence Enforce facility policies and safety procedures Requirements Must Have Valid Alberta Security License or the ability to obtain one Legally authorized to work in Canada Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation Ability to make sound decisions under pressure with minimal supervision Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies Physical ability to walk approximately 18–20 km per shift and climb stairs regularly Strong observation and problem-solving skills Nice to Have Previous healthcare security experience Experience working with vulnerable populations First Aid and CPR certification Experience with CCTV monitoring and access control systems Crisis intervention or de-escalation training Security experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or public institutions Benefits DailyPay Available – Access Earnings Before Payday Career Advancement Opportunities Ongoing Training and Professional Development Comprehensive Security Industry Experience Supportive Team Environment Stable Full-Time Employment Opportunity to Work in a Meaningful Healthcare Environment
