This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Gardener seeking a long-term role on a stunning private estate, with scope to shape and develop the gardens over time. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hands-on Gardener to join a private estate in Cambridgeshire. This role would suit a knowledgeable and proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining high horticultural standards and enjoys both practical gardening and wider estate responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, enhancement and general upkeep of a diverse range of gardens and grounds, ensuring the estate is presented to an exceptional standard throughout the year. Job specification: Maintaining gardens and estate grounds to an exceptionally high standard Caring for formal and informal planting areas, lawns, borders and general landscaped areas Assisting with the ongoing development of gardens, including implementing planting schemes and seasonal displays Lawn care, hedge cutting, pruning and general grounds maintenance Establishing and maintaining kitchen garden and productive growing areas where required Operating, maintaining and servicing garden machinery and equipment Managing deliveries and maintaining stock levels of garden supplies Undertaking basic estate maintenance tasks and minor repairs as required Supporting the wider estate team and assisting with general outdoor maintenance duties Candidate specification: Previous experience working within a private estate, country house or similar gardening environment Strong horticultural knowledge with a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful gardens Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently Creative, with the confidence to contribute ideas for the ongoing development of the gardens Practical and hands-on, with basic maintenance and DIY skills Experienced in the safe use and maintenance of garden machinery A positive, flexible and professional approach RHS qualification required DBS check required at offer stage How to apply: Applying for this position: Please email your interest in this position to [email protected] Please ensure you include the reference number for the position you are applying for (found at the top of the advert).
