Position Overview The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to support accurate and timely diagnosis. This role is essential in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care—especially during overnight hours when it matters most. Position Details • Employment Type: Full-Time • Shift:  (schedule varies) • Department: Imaging • Location: Ashe Memorial Hospital, West Jefferson, NC • On-Call: Required • Compensation: Competitive; commensurate with experience • Incentive: Commitment bonus available Key Responsibilities • Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols • Ensure accurate patient positioning and selection of appropriate imaging parameters • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation • Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for reactions • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures • Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary care teams • Support additional radiology services as needed • Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to quality control standards • Document procedures accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements Minimum Qualifications • Certification: ARRT (CT) registered or registry-eligible • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program • Certification: Current CPR certification – required • Experience: CT experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant training will be considered Core Competencies • Strong technical and imaging skills • Attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy • Ability to work independently in a night shift environment • Effective communication and patient care skills • Professionalism and accountability Employment Requirements • Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered) • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer) Benefits Comprehensive benefits begin the first of the month following employment , in accordance with hospital policy.
