Curious to discover how our products can be implemented in the field? Check out this video! Assignment The spectrometer system uses an FPGA to control the optical sensor and ADC. The FPGA firmware is written in VHDL and consists of multiple libraries and components. Currently, separate test benches exist for individual modules, but there is no complete system-level test bench that simulates all configurations and operating conditions. This internship focuses on developing a comprehensive VHDL test bench that validates the full FPGA design against system requirements. Objectives: • Make an inventory of all possible test configurations and their requirements • Develop a full-system VHDL testbench for the FPGA firmware • Simulate all operating modes and configuration conditions • Compare simulation results with defined system requirements • Improve verification coverage and firmware validation efficiency Scope of the Assignment: You will: • Analyze the existing FPGA architecture and module testbenches • Design a top-level simulation framework integrating all components • Implement stimulus models for sensor and ADC behavior • Automate test scenarios and result verification • Document verification results and recommendations We are looking for: We are looking for an enthusiastic HBO or WO student with a background in: • Bachelor or Master student in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field • Experience or interest in VHDL/FPGA design and digital systems • Familiarity with simulation tools is a plus We offer: • A good compensation per month • Travel reimbursement of €0,23 per km (when traveling by car) • Informal work atmosphere, short lines of communication • Working in a high-tech environment Interested?
