Verisk is seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic, international team. As a Java Software Engineer, you'll combine strong engineering expertise with AI-assisted development to deliver high-quality software faster. Working across our Java and Angular platform, you'll design and build new capabilities, orchestrate AI coding agents to accelerate delivery, and apply sound engineering judgment to ensure every solution is secure, maintainable, and production-ready. You will own the quality of software delivered, validating AI-generated implementations and driving technical excellence from design through deployment
• Develop and deliver scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular , leveraging AI coding agents while ensuring quality, security, and maintainability.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, implementation tasks, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Design and implement REST APIs and integrate with internal microservices and third-party systems.
• Make component-level design decisions and document key technical trade-offs.
• Guide AI coding agents, review generated code, and ensure solutions meet engineering and business requirements.
• Own software quality and production readiness, regardless of whether code is human- or AI-authored.
• Build and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end) with strong regression coverage.
• Deploy and support applications on AWS, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and release processes.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineers to deliver reliable software.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews, share knowledge, and continuously improve engineering practices.
