About the role Position Title: Front Office Manager Department: Reception / Reservations Reports To: General Manager About the Role The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, guest services, reservations, and lobby area to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role ensures smooth check-in and check-out processes, handles guest concerns, manages staff scheduling, and maintains adherence to hotel standards and procedures. Key Duties & Responsibilities Role and Responsibilities: Lead the hotel's Front Office Lead project work to deliver enhanced guest experience and continuous improvement Proactively manage rosters to ensure adequate cover and cost control Resolve guest queries and support team in delivering 5-star guest experiences Guest Services & Experience · Ensure the highest level of guest service is delivered consistently. · Address and resolve guest complaints, requests, and inquiries promptly and professionally. · Monitor guest feedback through surveys, online reviews, and direct communication; implement improvements where necessary. · Oversee VIP arrivals, special requests, and group bookings. Front Office Operations · Supervise daily front office operations including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and cash handling. · Maintain accurate room inventory and collaborate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness. · Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. · Oversee night audit operations and verify daily revenue reports. Staff Management · Recruit, train, and develop front office staff including receptionists and reservations agents. · Prepare staff schedules ensuring adequate coverage based on business levels. · Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary. · Foster a positive and professional team environment. Financial & Administrative Duties · Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control measures for the Front Office department. · Monitor and manage departmental expenses and labour costs. · Ensure proper cash handling, billing accuracy, and adherence to financial procedures. · Compile and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
