Job Title: Front of House / Kitchen Assistant / Cleaner Location: Alps View Hotel, Hakuba, Nagano Prefecture, Japan Employer: Evergreen Outdoor Center Season: June – October 2026 (Summer Camps & School Groups) Employment Type: Full-time Seasonal Position About the Role We are looking for energetic, reliable, and hardworking team members to join our small hospitality team at Alps View Hotel in Hakuba. This is a combined front-of-house, kitchen assistant, and cleaner role supporting our popular summer camps and school group programs from June through October. You will play a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping our hotel running smoothly, ensuring our international guests (mainly children and students on camps and school groups) enjoy a clean, comfortable, and well-presented environment. Key Responsibilities • Kitchen Support & Dishwashing • Operate commercial dishwashers and hand-wash items as needed • Keep the kitchen, servery, and food preparation areas clean and tidy • Assist with basic food prep and plating when required • Empty bins and maintain kitchen hygiene standards • Front of House & General Cleaning • Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily • Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize all areas to a high standard • Change bed linen and towels according to schedule • Clean and maintain public spaces, dining areas, and outdoor entrances • General Hotel Support • Help set up and reset dining areas for meals • Assist with laundry (washing, drying, folding) • Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly • Support the team during busy meal times and group arrivals/departures Requirements • Positive attitude and strong work ethic • Ability to work efficiently and stay on your feet for long periods • Reliability and attention to detail (especially with cleaning standards) • Comfortable working as part of a small, close-knit team • Basic English communication skills (Japanese is a big advantage but not essential) • Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, or kitchen roles is preferred but not required — we will train the right person • Must be physically fit and able to lift and move moderate loads • Available for the full season (June to October) – preference given to those who can commit to the entire period What We Offer • Competitive seasonal hourly rate + overtime opportunities • Live-in accommodation at Alps View Hotel (shared rooms, utilities included) • All meals provided while on duty • Opportunity to work in a beautiful mountain location in Hakuba • Experience working with international summer camps and school groups • Friendly, supportive team environment • Potential for future seasons or other roles within Evergreen Outdoor Center This is a hands-on, active role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty, and takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming space for our guests.
