About the Position: Full-Time Monday to Friday 2PM to 10PM with potential overtime 17.5% Shift loading in accordance with Peter Cochrane Management EA 2018 13.5% Superannuation Cochrane's Transport is seeking reliable and motivated Freight Handlers to join our Afternoon Shift team at our Gillman Depot. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced transport and logistics environment. As a valued member of our operations team, you'll play a key role in ensuring freight is safely and efficiently sorted, loaded, and unloaded to keep our network moving. Key Responsibilities: Loading and unloading freight from trucks and trailers Sorting and staging freight for dispatch Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (desirable) Ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently Maintaining a clean and organised work area Following all workplace health and safety procedures About You: Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy items Good attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Forklift license (preferred but not essential) Previous experience in freight handling or warehousing (advantageous) What we Offer: Above award wages Career development opportunities A strong commitment to safety and employee wellbeing Job security with an established and growing company If this sounds like you, then hit apply now!
