Free Church Chaplain – HMP Bronzefield We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Free Church Chaplain to join the Chaplaincy team at HMP Bronzefield . In this role, you will provide pastoral care and faith-specific support to prisoners and staff within a multi-faith environment. Main Responsibilities • Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to prisoners, staff, and their families, regardless of faith background • Plan, lead, and facilitate Free Church worship, prayer services, and faith-based programmes • Work collaboratively within a multi-faith Chaplaincy team to deliver inclusive services • Support prisoners in crisis situations and contribute to their rehabilitation and personal development • Build relationships with Free Church groups and local community faith networks to support resettlement • Maintain accurate records, contribute to reports, and support service delivery standards and chaplaincy initiatives Please see the attached job description for further details regarding the role requirements. The Ideal Candidate • Ordained or authorised Free Church Chaplain with formal endorsement from the Prison Service Free Church Adviser • Strong understanding of the Christian faith, with the ability to lead worship and engage diverse groups • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgemental approach • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment • Experience (or strong interest) in working with vulnerable individuals or complex needs communities • Well-organised with strong administrative, IT, and problem-solving skills Successful candidates will be required to undergo MOJ Level 2 and Enhanced DBS checks, plus Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC).
