Description
Celebrating 85 Years of Building With Purpose
At Absher Construction, we’re proud to celebrate over 85 years as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected general contractors. As a 100% employee-owned company, we believe our people are our greatest asset and we invest in them like it! From fully paid medical premiums for employees, to a generous PTO policy, 401(k) and ESOP retirement benefits, we offer a total rewards package that reflects the pride and ownership we bring to every project.
As a Framing & Drywall Project Manager / Estimator, you own the outcome. You’ll lead Absher’s self-perform framing and drywall scopes from estimate through execution, managing planning, cost performance, and field alignment to ensure successful delivery.
This role blends estimating discipline with operational leadership. You’ll develop accurate estimates, manage project financial performance, and stay connected to field production to ensure work is executed as planned. Success in this role requires strong judgment, financial ownership, and close coordination with field leadership.
This is a builder’s role for someone who understands framing and drywall production, thrives on accountability, and takes pride in delivering disciplined, high-performing work.
What You’ll Do
Prepare detailed estimates for metal stud framing, drywall, and taping scopes of work
Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to define project requirements
Develop labor, material, and production-based cost strategies
Participate in estimate reviews and support project buyout, vendor selection, and procurement
Manage project budgets, forecasting, and financial performance across assigned scopes
Prepare, submit, and negotiate change orders and pricing adjustments
Monitor project execution to ensure alignment with estimate assumptions and production targets
Coordinate with field leadership on scope, sequencing, labor planning, and constructability
Track labor productivity and cost performance and address variances early
Identify scope gaps, cost risks, and execution challenges and drive resolution
Maintain strong project documentation and deliver clear financial and project reporting
Engage with jobsites as needed to stay connected to production conditions and project progress
Why You’ll Be Successful
You’re a disciplined operator who understands both the numbers and the work in the field. You take ownership of outcomes, communicate clearly with field teams, and maintain financial accountability from estimate through completion.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent field experience)
10+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in framing, drywall, or interior systems
Strong experience estimating and managing project financial performance
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents independently
Understanding of labor productivity drivers and production-based planning
Strong collaboration with field leadership and project teams
