Role: Fractional FD (Core of 2 Days per month) Location: Staffordshire Rate: Open for the right candidate - outside IR35 A well-established UK business is seeking an experienced Non-Executive Finance Director to join on a long-term fractional basis. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned FD already operating a portfolio of clients who is looking for a stable, ongoing engagement. The Commitment A core of approximately two days per month - typically one day on-site reviewing accounts and meeting the senior team, plus a monthly board meeting. Additional project-based work arises periodically, particularly around M&A activity. What You'll Be Doing • Reviewing and signing off monthly and year-end accounts, including provisions and adjustments • Producing summary financial reports for the Chairman, senior management, and the company's bank • Leading the annual budget process and working with the Chairman and MD on margins and cost planning • Owning key external relationships - accountants, legal, HMRC, bank and invoice finance facilities • Supporting M&A activity including heads of terms and due diligence processes • Acting as a trusted sounding board and challenger for the Chairman and senior leadership team What You'll Bring • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with considerable FD-level experience • Ideally M&A experience (HoT and DD involvement) • Ideally some exposure beyond finance - MD, commercial, or operational leadership • The credibility and communication skills to operate across all levels of a business We haven't quoted a day rate as they are genuinely open to ensure they find the right candidate.
