Description
FOUNDING THE FUTURE OF ATTORNEY-CENTRIC LEGAL SERVICES REDEFINING TRUSTS & ESTATES FOR THE MIDDLE MARKET Jay is seeking a Founding Partner, Trusts & Estates, to lead and shape its inaugural practice. As the first attorney leadership hire, this role offers the unique opportunity to define the standard of care, set the tone for the firm, and design the systems that will power an AI-enabled, attorney-centric law practice serving millions of households with real legal needs. The Founding Partner will lead all aspects of trusts and estates matters, from client consultations through document execution, across both flat-fee and custom engagements. Working directly with the founder, this leader will co-design Jay’s operating system—translating deep practice judgment into workflows, drafting protocols, and review standards that enable exceptional service at scale. The role also involves shaping the productized offering, recruiting and mentoring the first associates and partners, and ensuring the highest standards of professional responsibility in an AI-native environment. Ideal candidates are senior T&E attorneys with at least ten years of sophisticated planning experience, licensed in California or New York, and energized by the challenge of building a new kind of law firm. Experience building a practice, a focus on client experience, and a passion for serving the middle market are essential. Familiarity with legal technology, multi-state practice, or high-volume work is a plus. This is a rare opportunity to co-found a firm, set its culture, and influence the future of legal services for both clients and the profession. Company Website: https://www.jay.law
