Forklift Driver Location: Birmingham, UK Department: Production / Warehouse Employment Type: Full-time The Role Our client is looking for a skilled and dependable Forklift Driver to support the safe and efficient movement of materials, equipment, set pieces, props, structures and production assets across their busy creative production environment. Working alongside their Production, Warehouse, Workshop and Project teams, you will play an important role in keeping projects moving safely, efficiently and on schedule – from workshop build through to packing, loading and installation. Key Responsibilities • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, move and position production materials and equipment. • Handle large, delicate and high-value scenic elements, structures, props and project materials with care. • Support warehouse, workshop and production teams with material movements and logistics. • Load and unload vehicles while ensuring items are secured and protected from damage. • Maintain accurate awareness of stock locations and support organised warehouse operations. • Carry out daily forklift checks and report defects, hazards or maintenance requirements promptly. • Follow all UK Health & Safety, manual handling and site operating procedures. • Keep working areas clear, organised and safe, particularly within busy production and workshop environments. • Support project teams with time-critical movements during production, dispatch and installation periods. About You They are looking for someone who is safety-focused, practical, reliable and highly organised, with excellent awareness of their surroundings and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced production environment. Essential: • Valid UK-recognised forklift licence/certification. • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, construction, production or similar environment. • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety. • Good attention to detail when handling valuable, oversized or fragile items. • Physically capable of working in a busy workshop/warehouse environment. • Reliable, team-oriented and willing to support wider production requirements.
