Position details • Location: Ruston, Louisiana area • Employment type: Part-time • Scope of care: Wound Care and Foot Care • Work setting: Long-term care facilities Responsibilities • Assess wounds and foot conditions and develop individualized care plans. • Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other appropriate wound-care procedures. • Monitor wound healing, foot health, and patient progress. • Support pain management related to wounds and promote patient comfort. • Educate patients and facility staff on wound care, prevention, and foot-care practices. • Communicate with facility staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. • Maintain accurate and current clinical documentation. • Travel to designated long-term care facilities in the assigned area. Required qualifications • Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited program. • Current Nurse Practitioner license valid for practice in Louisiana. • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills related to wounds and foot conditions. • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage responsibilities across multiple facilities. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
