We partner with families, employers, and community organizations to help people live, work, and thrive. ________________________________________ Role Overview VersAbility Resources is seeking dependable and hardworking Food Service Worker to support food service operations within a government dining facility serving military personnel. This role focuses on sanitation, custodial, dishwashing, stocking, and kitchen support duties to help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment. Military veterans and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. ________________________________________ What You’ll Do • Perform food service sanitation, custodial, and kitchen support duties during assigned shifts • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dining areas, beverage stations, restrooms, and dishwashing areas • Operate commercial dishwashing machines and food service equipment safely • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain cleanliness throughout assigned areas • Remove trash, debris, and recyclable materials from service areas • Restock beverages, supplies, and service items as needed • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing supplies • Follow food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures • Maintain quality standards outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) • Provide professional customer service to military personnel and team members • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment • Perform other duties as assigned ________________________________________ Qualifications • No high school diploma or GED required; completion of at least 8th grade preferred • No prior experience required; training provided • Previous food service, custodial, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Strong reliability, attendance, and willingness to learn • Ability to safely operate cleaning tools and food service equipment and lift up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to pass required background/security screenings conducted by VersAbility Resources and the U.S. Government ________________________________________ Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role operates in a commercial kitchen and food service environment within a government facility. Employees may be exposed to heat, steam, humidity, wet surfaces, cleaning chemicals, food waste, and moderate noise levels. The position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion throughout the shift. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and work safely in fast-paced kitchen and sanitation environments. ________________________________________ Schedule This position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
