Mid-State Metals is a true turn-key miscellaneous metals contractor. From estimating, detailing and design, to Erection and close out, our projects are handled in-house allowing us to adapt quickly to your project needs. Our certified welders and craftsman have the ability to weld and fabricate steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Mid-State Metals LLC is centrally located in Orlando, Florida. We have the ability to ship our custom products throughout the United States. We also erect our products on job sites throughout the Southeastern US. We are seeking an experienced Miscellaneous Steel Fitter/Welder to join our growing team in Orlando. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting and assembling various steel structures according to blueprints and specifications while maintaining high safety and quality standards. • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements • Measure, cut, and fit steel components according to specifications • Align and weld steel components to create structural assemblies • Verify measurements and alignments using precision measuring tools • Install miscellaneous steel items such as stairs, handrails, and support structures • Maintain quality control standards throughout the fitting process • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications • Follow all safety protocols and procedures • Coordinate with other trades and team members on project requirements • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition • High school diploma or equivalent • 2-3 years of experience in steel fitting and fabrication • Valid welding certification • Current OSHA safety certification • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings • Strong knowledge of various welding techniques and procedures • Experience with steel fitting tools and measuring equipment • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions • Knowledge of industry safety standards and quality control procedures • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Good communication and teamwork skills All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
