€2500 • €3800 / Monthly rate Permanent Athens | Hybrid Our client is a leading financial services company running mission-critical applications that depend entirely on databases performing reliably, securely and without interruption. The role exists to own the health and performance of that database infrastructure as complexity and compliance demands grow. The Role You will manage, monitor and optimise a database environment that the business cannot afford to have fail, covering everything from performance tuning and security compliance through to backup, recovery and incident resolution. In your first six months, you will conduct a thorough review of existing database health, address the most critical vulnerabilities and establish a monitoring and maintenance rhythm that keeps issues from becoming incidents. You will be the person the business trusts when data integrity is on the line. What You'll Bring • 4+ years of database administration experience across SQL and NoSQL environments • Proven track record managing performance monitoring, troubleshooting and query optimisation • Solid experience with backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures • Strong understanding of database security, compliance requirements and access control • Methodical approach to problem-solving under pressure in a mission-critical environment Nice to Have • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries • Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL • Knowledge of database automation and scripting What's in it for You €2,500 – €3,800 Gross / Month depending on experience and technical background.
