Piper Fire Protection’s Sarasota, FL branch is seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Technician to join our team. This role involves installation, service, and inspection of fire suppression systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Installation, Service, and Inspections of Fire Suppression systems.
Completion of all necessary paperwork associated with service and inspections.
Communicate with customers before and after each service call to explain work performed.
Foster positive customer relationships through clear communication, professionalism, and responsive service.
Identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services that align with customer needs and system requirements.
Ensure timely completion of assigned jobs.
Maintain daily communication with the Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator regarding inspection or project delays, requirements, and job status.
Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
Mentor technicians on tools and technology when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, Florida Fire Prevention Code, and local building codes.
Proven experience in the Installation of Fire Suppression systems.
Route experience and a sales background are a strong plus.
Proficiency with computers and smart devices, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple iOS, and Google Android.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver’s license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record.
