Description
• Act as the  licensed responsible manager (Vastaava työnjohtaja)  for water and sewage works in accordance with Finnish regulations • Ensure all water supply and sewage installations comply with  Finnish Building Act, Decrees, and local authority requirements • Liaise with  local building control authorities , inspectors, and third-party certifiers as required • Review and approve water and sewage-related method statements, risk assessments, and inspection & test plans • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors carrying out water and wastewater works • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and permits • Monitor quality, safety, and programme of water and sewage installations • Maintain statutory site documentation, inspection records, and compliance certificates • Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals for handover and commissioning • Identify and manage non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented • Support the Project Manager with planning, sequencing, and progress reporting • Ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are fully adhered to during all activities • Participate in site meetings, coordination meetings, and authority inspections Requirements •  Valid Finnish Water & Sewage Manager Licence  (Vesi- ja viemärityön vastaava työnjohtaja) – essential • Recognised technical qualification in plumbing, building services, or mechanical engineering • Minimum  5 years’ experience  managing water and sewage works on construction projects in Finland • Strong knowledge of  Finnish building regulations, codes, and inspection processes • Experience working with local authorities and certification bodies • Background in large-scale projects such as  data centres, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects  is highly desirable • Strong organisational, communication, and documentation skills • Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple work fronts effectively • Proficient in basic IT systems and project documentation platforms Benefits Opportunity to work on Europe’s largest and most advanced data centre projects.
