This part-time position would be for the 2026-2027 school year. Application Requirements: • Hold or be eligible for a valid BC teaching certificate • Copy of Teaching Certificate • Resume • Personal Statement of Faith • Philosophy of Christian Education • Applicants should be committed Christians, adhering to an evangelical statement of faith, and active in a local church Art Teacher (Grades 7–12) – Job Description • Teach foundational art concepts including drawing, painting, design, and composition to students in grades 7–12 • Introduce a variety of media and techniques (e.g., pencil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media) • Develop lesson plans that build creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking • Encourage student self-expression while teaching core artistic principles (line, color, form, texture, perspective) • Assess student work and provide constructive, age-appropriate feedback • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse skill levels • Manage classroom materials, tools, and safety procedures • Integrate art history and cultural context into lessons where appropriate • Support school events, displays, and student art exhibitions • Communicate student progress with parents/guardians and collaborate with staff as needed
