Role : Financial Specialist
Duration : 6-month contract to start, with strong potential for extension/conversion
Work type : Remote (US)
Our leading client, an AI-powered technology solutions provider, is seeking a Financial Specialist. The Financial Specialist will support the Credit & Resolution Desk with a primary focus on issue resolution, while also supporting customer onboarding, credit review activities, and maintaining accurate customer records.
Responsibilities
• Customer Onboarding & Credit Review: Conduct creditworthiness assessments for new and existing customers, including review of credit reports, payment history, and financial standing, to support credit limit and payment terms decisions.
• Quality Assurance (QA): Perform QA reviews of departmental submissions and deal documentation.
• Credit-to-Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile credit approvals, invoicing, and cash application activity to identify and resolve discrepancies between systems and records.
• Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: Manage and resolve escalated financial issues related to discrepancies, disputes, collections, and account reconciliations, and perform root cause analysis on recurring issues to recommend process improvements and prevent future escalations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Billing, Cash Applications, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations, to research and resolve escalations, payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, customer account issues, and order-to-cash exceptions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of all escalation cases, including the nature of the issue, resolution steps taken, and final outcomes; analyze financial data to identify trends and prepare reports on resolution outcomes.
Quailification
• 3 – 5 years of similar experience.
• Experience in finance-related functions such as: Collections, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Credit review, Order-to-Cash processes
• Basic understanding of customer credit evaluations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) is a plus.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
