Accountancy Recruit is partnering exclusively with a client in Greater Manchester towards Trafford Park to recruit a Financial Controller. This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite. The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting matters and routines ensuring accuracy and compliance together with strong and robust internal controls. This role would suit a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or Senior Management Accountant who has experience of managing a small team and providing accurate, timely and reliable financial information whilst ensuring accurate and compliant record keeping. The Financial Controller will work as a business partner to department managers to drive performance, act as the first point of contact with external advisors and support the Finance Director and leadership team as required. The FC will have the following responsibilities: • Lead, manage and develop a team of 3 covering management accounts, purchase ledger and sales ledger. • Ensure routine transactional tasks are completed accurately and in adherence to deadlines. • Production of monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliation. • Support cash forecasting and input to the monthly payroll process. • Support and input to the annual budgeting and ad-hoc re-forecasting process. • Manage the annual financial audit process. • Identify and implement process changes and improvements where appropriate. To be successful in this role the FC will have the following experience: • Qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACCA or ACA) and relevant experience in a similar position. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proactive approach and ability to provide solutions. • High level knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage own and team’s changing priorities ensuring deadlines are met. The salary advertised for this position is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
