Our client is a Marine Services Company and they are looking for a Chief Accountant / Financial Controller who will manage a team of 5 Accountants. Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting: • Prepare and review financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards IFRS • Accounting Operations Management: • Supervise accounting staff and daily operations • Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax filings • Compliance & Controls: • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets • Budgeting & Forecasting: • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts • Monitor financial performance and report variances • Audit Coordination: • Coordinate internal and external audits • Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries • Tax Management: • Oversee tax planning and compliance • Ensure timely submission of tax returns • Process Improvement: • Identify inefficiencies and implement improved accounting procedures • Support ERP/accounting system upgrades Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance • ACCA /ACA qualification preferred • 4-5 + years experience in accounting or finance roles • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) • Leadership and team management skills • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • High attention to detail and accuracy • Strong communication and reporting skills • Financial analysis and reporting tools • Microsoft Excel (advanced level) • ERP systems experience • Fluent Greek and English skills Working Hours: The working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30 am-5.30 pm (onsite role) To apply: Please send your CV to StaffMatters at [email protected] and mention that you are applying for the vacancy of Financial Controller / Chief Accountant with reference number 4376 .
