University of Houston is hiring a Financial Analyst - Law Business Services. The role requires performing financial analysis activities such as analyzing return, depreciation, and investment ratios, profit and loss statements, and business trends. The analyst prepares and analyzes monthly and annual financial statements, reconciles accounting activities, generates reports, maintains financial reporting systems, and provides technical support. Highlights • Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements. • Analyze financial accounting data and document trends. • Prepare ad hoc reports and conduct report analysis. • Monitor and reconcile FRS accounting activities; prepare entries and modifications. • Assist with maintenance of financial reporting systems and provide technical support. • Experience with PeopleSoft financial software required. • Advanced Excel skills essential. • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized training and minimum of three years of directly related experience. • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills are necessary. • Position supports the Business Services department in the Law division.
