Description
Looking to make your first move into industry? Build Your Career at the Heart of a Global Aerospace Company
This is an opportunity to apply your technical accounting skills while gaining exposure to commercial finance, international operations, and business partnering in one of New Zealand's most exciting technology companies.
At Dawn Aerospace, we're developing satellite propulsion systems already operating in orbit and building aircraft designed to fly to the edge of space from a runway. Operating across New Zealand, Europe, and the United States, we're scaling rapidly—and we're looking for a Financial Accountant to help build the financial capability that supports our global growth.
This is far more than a traditional financial accounting role.
You'll work closely with leaders across engineering, manufacturing, operations, commercial teams, and finance, helping deliver high-quality financial reporting while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, systems development, process improvement, and commercial decision-making. You'll gain exposure to multiple international entities, currencies, and business functions while developing the broader commercial experience that supports long-term career growth.
Whether you're looking to make your first move from professional services or you're already working in industry and want broader exposure, this is an opportunity to develop your career in a fast-growing global business.
About the Role
As Financial Accountant, you'll help support the financial operations of a growing international business operating across multiple countries, legal entities, and currencies.
You'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting while contributing to projects that improve systems, strengthen financial processes, and provide better information to support business decisions.
Rather than working in a narrow reporting role, you'll become part of a finance team that partners closely with the wider business, helping ensure Dawn has the financial capability needed to support continued international growth.
As the company continues to scale, you'll have opportunities to broaden your experience across financial reporting, commercial finance, business partnering, systems development, and continuous improvement.
