Description
The Yakima Valley Conference of Governments is accepting applications for a full-time, exempt Finance Specialist. The position performs detailed payroll and accounting work, including payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, bank and financial reconciliations, employee benefit and leave transactions, grant reimbursement support, financial reporting, and maintenance of accurate, confidential, and auditable financial records. Applicants must have at least three years of relevant payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience, including municipal or governmental finance experience. Current working experience using Vision/TripleView financial software is required. An associate degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis. A valid Washington State driver’s license is required. The successful applicant must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict payroll, accounting, and reporting deadlines. The position requires sound judgment, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. Salary: $5,058–$7,948 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
