Finance Officer Required from October 2026 26 Hours per week, term time including INSET days plus an additional week to be worked over the school holidays. Salary: NJC 6 Scale Point 16 £34,488 FTE per annum Actual Salary £22,100 per annum. The Limes College is seeking to appoint a highly organised and motivated Finance Officer to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a specialist educational setting that is committed to improving outcomes for young people. About the Role The successful candidate will support the finance team with the day-to-day financial operations of the school. This includes processing transactions using the ACCESS Finance system and maintaining accurate records through Excel spreadsheets. The postholder will play an important role in ensuring the efficient, economic and effective use of the school’s resources. Key responsibilities include: • Processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments in line with financial procedures • Supporting budget monitoring and reconciliation activities • Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets • Liaising with suppliers, agencies and internal stakeholders • Assisting with financial reporting and audits as required Person Specification We are looking for someone who: • Has experience of working in a finance or administrative role • Is confident using financial systems (experience of ACCESS Finance is desirable) • Has strong Excel and data handling skills • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Has good organisational and communication skills • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team The school can offer you: • Local Government Pension Scheme • An organisation with a clear moral purpose to change young people’s lives • A programme of professional development for staff at all levels • Free access to our Employee Assistance Programme • Staff who are supportive towards each other • Free access to an on-site gym • Term time hours.
